She was the best little girl in the world…but, no one noticed. Always doing as expected (mostly), but no one cared. She did her very best every day and all she wanted was a hug, a 'you did great today', a smiley face on her work at school, a 'how was school' at the end of the day.
Nothing…from no one…not her parents, hot her teachers, not her friends, not even the custodian at school. No One Noticed.
After school she did her chores, did her homework, ate supper - no one noticed. Doing dishes let her dream, wonder, plan…and she vowed to create a place, a world, a refuge for 'the lost and forgotten' (as she had come to think of herself) to be noticed, talked to, cared for and loved.
During this think time, she decided she would never marry, but would have lots of children just like her in the future. Children who felt just like her and would have a place of safety and love and would always be noticed.

Always…I wish you peace, joy and happiness, but most of all I wish you Love.
As Ever, Annie
*Note: This is not a self portrait, but an observation made much too often during my years in education. An observation that needs awareness and needs changing.
