Sacred
She wanders in the
Early Morning Dew
Memories held tightly in the
safety of her hand
These are too precious
to be shared...
for her only to see...
safe...
to keep sacred
Entering the sheltered
Willow...she pauses
opens her hand slightly...
Hardly breathing...
daring herself to look
between thumb and pointer finger...
she is assured...
it is still there...safe...sacred
The one memory that plays
over and over for her like a movie...
But...
only when she has the courage to release it...
never knowing if she will be able to capture it again...
to hold it close to her heart...
safe...
secure...
sacred...
No yet...not here...not Today...
BUT
Soon...oh, so soon...
she will release that sacred memory...
the part of her that keeps her alive...
Release it she will...
AND
Become one with it...
the memory she holds so
DEAR
Become on with it again...
Going where it may lead her...
Always following
with it held dearly in her hand.
