Have not posted since Wednesday night ... why ... my life took an unexpected turn Thursday evening. While attending a financial planning session, I tripped over a chair leg that was in my walking space...result...me falling flat on my face. After effects...one seriously bruised right knee...one seriously scraped and bruised right elbow...one severely fractured left arm.
After lots of TLC from a coach also attending this meeting, I decided the left arm did not feel right. My very good friend hauled my bruised and battered butt to the ER. I received quick and excellent care from all the Seton personnel. An hour or so later, Xrayed, elbow compression wrapped, pain med scripts and an immobilizing sling I was sent on my merry little way with instructions to call for an ortho consult the following day.
The next day, I was actually fairly mobile...not as sore as I expected to be and not stiff at all...lots of natural padding!
Call for appointment ... but they were a doctor short ... so Monday morning before I find out if I will have surgery for pins or a plate ... or continued immobilizing sling ... hoping for a sling!
