As we grew into adulthood, love became different things to different people at different times in our lives.
After the Sandy Hook shooting, we all realized that we must be more aware of letting the people in our lives know we love them, and often. A twitter friend came up with this phrase, 'Love is a Verb..." Just telling someone you love them really is never enough. We must show our dear ones our love..therefore, an act of doing or a verb.
There is a delightful little book of poetry titled Love and all the other verbs of life by Peter McWilliams. The poems in this book are what we now call 'micropoetry', yet this book was published in 1974. None of the poems has a title, just little short collections of words on a page that are about love.
Here are my favorite ones typed as they are on the pages in this book.:
bloom
for
me
love is a love is a
jungle of garden of
beasts. flowers.
love is a love is the
question. answer.
love is love is
complex. simple.
love is love is
pain. joy.
I have
no one
to love. I have.
Here is a piece of micropoetry I wrote not long ago.
Always, I wish you peace, joy and happiness, but most of all I wish you LOVE. Happy Valentine's Day..Enjoy!
As Ever, Annie
