Just Passing Through
As I sit at my own little table...
My private corner of the world
for a few hours a day
I overheard the following...
No one ever acknowledges death anymore.
No one ever talks about people when they are gone.
My Mom is dying...
My Dad died...
My Dog died...
he said
And
I just realized...
"We are all just passing through"
he said
Sadly
I rarely think of my Dad...
he said
I guess my kids will think of me when I'm gone
he said
Again...
he said
"We are all just passing through
As I finished my latte
I realized these were haunting
yet very true words.
Arizona just lost nineteen of their finest
Tragically...only yesterday...
They were...
Just passing through
Who will remember me...
remember you...
As we are all "just passing through"
We create moments in our lives
Moments that become memories
What will your moments...
your memories...
Become
as we are all
