Free at last! Sarah sat on the wide upper veranda sipping coffee as she watched crystal blue waves gently kiss the sand.
Sarah always felt safe near the ocean. This house was a place he would never find her. Her pulse felt normal for the first time in weeks as she planned the rest of her life.
"There you are my Darlin'!" caused her heart to skip a beat. Wrapping her in loving arms, "Shhh, my Baby. Everything is alright now."
A sudden downpour drenched Lizzie to the skin! Why today of all days? All her errands nearly completed when this happen as she walked across the parking lot.
Oh well, everything was ready for tonight except for those last minute touches. This final errand was one, buying Sam's favorite coffee to go with dessert.
With wet hair streaming down her neck, sundress soaked and clinging in a very un-public way, she reached for the door. Looking up, Lizzie fell deeply and hard into the pools of sparking grey eyes. The eyes that she knew well and always followed her everywhere.
"Finally," he said. "I have just where I want you!"
Lizzie melted into those eyes and molded herself to him. "You are always there just when I need you most."
All thoughts of coffee and dessert disappeared into a pool of grey eyes.

Walking onto the porch, Emma hugged her chilled body. She could never get warm any more. Ever since Joe's sudden death she was a cold empty shell of a her previous self. How could love lost cause such cold?
Sweeping her gaze across the distant hill, Emma was searching for that flash she had seen every night this week. Not a light, but a flash of purple in the hills.
There, just to the left of the tallest pine, the flash ... once, twice, then it was gone. Joe promised a sign, could that be the one?
Turning for the door, she felt it. Whisper light, a feather kiss on that special spot just under her left ear..."sleep well Baby, I have you now."
Always I wish you peace, joy and happiness, but most of all I wish you Love.
As Ever, Annie
