Ghost in the Machine
Today our lives
are run by machines
smart Phones…
laptops…
computers of all types…
tablets…
programmed heat and cold…
lights turning themselves off and on…
cars that talk to us…
interactive TV…
Remote Controlled EVERTYTHING…
Oh…for the good
old days of a rotary dial
phone…a party line
for added interest
A TV with ‘rabbit ears’
and 3 channels
on a good day
Cars that just
start with a key
(always square)
The only thing
programmed then…
Streetlights at dusk
to tell us it was
time to go home
