All That Jazz
I am the most unaware person on the face of the Earth. Going about my life…accepting that I am ordinary at best.
My best friend and I treated ourselves to a trip. Both of us love to travel, but don't get to very often. Time, life, and lack of finances seem to always get in the way. But…we finally were able to get a quick long weekend trip planned and executed.
Sarah and I both love Jazz and New Orleans. What a better trip than a long weekend in May for the Jazz Festival…combining our two loves into one trip.
We staked our claim -- perfect seating and made camp so to speak…setting up our chairs, table and popup tent. This would keep us from frying in the sun and only simmering in the heat and humidity while we grooved to our favorite music. We had our cooler filled with both water and beer, but were craving something different…more New Orleans Jazz!
"You girls look like you need something tall and cold to drink," the stranger drawled. "What would you like? I am on my way to the bar."
"Surprise me!" Sarah replied immediately.
Looking directly at me, "…and you…get the tallest Hurricane they make here." "You are a wild one in disguise…I know these things." he said with a wicked smile and a twinkle in his eyes.
"Holy Shit!" Sarah squealed. "He is so hitting on you…and…you better go for that one!"
