Fear
His life is his own
Doing exactly as he pleases
Never getting too close to anyone
Always keeping an arm's length
Protecting his privacy
Fear...
Yes, it is there...
There all the time
Fear...
Of being found out
Fear...
Of letting go and giving in
Fear...
To really commit ... to really love
He has many personas...
Having told so many
versions of his life
The webs begin to tangle
to trick him up...
Not remembering what he told...
Who he told...
Which versions of himself
Fear...yes, it is always there
He refuses to acknowledge
Preferring to create
Yet, another layer...
another persona to hide be hid
another layer of deceit...or...
is it protection
Fear keeps him from really being...
really feeling...
really caring...loving
Oh, to connect behind that
FEAR...
Oh, to hold
that frightened little boy living inside
his adult
